The mission of the College Assistance Migrant Program at Metropolitan State University of Denver is to support the completion of the first year of college of eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their children by providing comprehensive outreach and enrollment assistance, academic support, financial aid, and social opportunities. Ultimately, the program aims to prepare participants for further success in higher education and to achieve a post-secondary degree.

About CAMP

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Metropolitan State University of Denver is a grant-funded scholarship program by the U.S. Department of Education. CAMP is designed to meet the academic, financial, and social needs of migrant and/or seasonal farmworkers and their children in pursuing higher education.

The CAMP Office is open Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Friday by appointment.

I was inspired by the fields my family members and parents used to work when we first got here to Colorado (I still drive by those fields in Fort Lupton and Brighton) and inspired by the downtown setting of MSU Denver. CAMP really helped me out through college by providing a safe space for me to study and socialize with people of similar backgrounds as me. It gave me opportunities to learn more about different subjects through workshops, trips, etc.. CAMP also made sure I stayed on track with my credits and requirements for my major and minor even after my first year which was something they went above and beyond with.
