*International students are not required to provide a Social Security Number (SSN) within the application.
If your academic documents are issued in a non-English language, you must submit a complete, literal, word-for-word English translation in the same format as the original academic document.
Acceptable translators include your school officials, professional translators, or a local EducationUSA office. Academic documents cannot be translated by the student or any members of their family.

Official secondary (high school) documents are sent to MSU Denver directly from an official source, such as your school, ministry of education office, or examination board. Your documents must show all final results and a graduation date.
If you do not know which documents are required for your country, please contact the International Admissions Office
Please be aware that we cannot review your application with incomplete or in-progress documents. We must have the final results with a completion (graduation) date.
If the document is issued in a language other than English, we must receive the official document directly from the issuing institution in the original (native) language and a certified English translation.
We do not require a credential evaluation for secondary level academic documents.

A course by course evaluation completed by a professional transcript evaluation service, in addition to the official transcript(s), will be required.
The service agency must be a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
We suggest that you choose a service that can send us a copy of your verified transcript(s) together with the evaluation report, such as WES ICAP or ECE.
If the evaluation service does not send us your verified academic documents, we must receive a copy of the university transcripts issued by your school.

International students must be proficient in English prior to being accepted to Metropolitan State University of Denver. An admission decision cannot be made until we receive qualifying proof of English proficiency.

ESL Exemption
Student must submit documents showing the completion of an accredited Intensive English Language Program.
Exemption for U.S. Study
Graduated from an American high school and attended for at least two years
Passing result on the U.S. General Education Development (GED) Test
Hold an Associate’s degree (AA and AS only) from a U.S. college or university
Completed at least 24 semester hours of college level coursework with C- or better at a U.S. college or university
Completed both of the required English composition courses (English Composition I and English Composition II) with grades of C or better at a U.S. college or university
The Office of Admissions reserves the right to request proof of English proficiency, even if an applicant meets one or more of the above conditions.

Requirements for Financial Documentation
We cannot accept documents for fixed or non-liquid assets such as: salary/employment letters, asset valuations, tax returns, real estate valuations, credit card statements, or stock market statements. We also cannot accept business accounts unless your employer is sponsoring your education.
Financial Affidavit Form
The F-1 Financial Affidavit Form is completed by yourself and your financial sponsors. Please complete all sections and submit the form together with the bank statement.
Financial Documentation for Accompanying Dependents
If you will be accompanied by dependents (spouse and/or minor children) who will need to apply for F-2 visas, your financial support documents must show sufficient funds for your spouse and/or minor children, as well. Current expenses are $10,000 for a spouse and $10,000 for each child.

– Copies of their passport identity page(s)
– Other immigration documents (if they are currently in the U.S. on another visa type), if applicable
